According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry that represents a 73% or US$9.3 million increase compared to the previous year. The country's flower exports, which are expected to hit annual revenue of over US$100 million in few years time, have registered a remarkable four-fold increase in earnings in the last three years alone, according to Customs Authority's figures.
Among the other items which helped boost the country's export performance in the reported period are gold and coffee, which saw a US$20.5 million and a US$31 million increase in earnings over the previous year. The much-troubled Democratic Republic of the Congo is re-integrating into the world trade community with the news that an international trade fair was recently held in the country's capital, Kinshasa. The 2006 International Kinshasa Trade Fair attracted 500 exhibitors and brought in 500,000 visitors, according to the organisers. The fair, themed 'Fair of Renaissance', brought entrepreneurs from around the globe including Brazil, China, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan and Ukraine. It's tricky to find reliable trade news for DRC, but the Johannesburg, South Africa based 'Business In Africa' provides good coverage of developments in Congo and throughout Africa :

Very few countries are as well positioned for trade geographically as Poland. Poland is located between eastern and western Europe - in a perfect position to take advantage of European Union membership to the full. If you want to explore the opportunities then we suggest you take a look at this website : The Consulate General of Poland in Hong Kong Commercial And Economic Section at
