* More Opportunities In Brazil
Brazil is likely to offer more opportunities as a consumer market this year with the news that the Brazilian economy will officially generate two million new jobs in 2010 - according to a recent prediction by Labour Minister Carlos Lupi. He predicted that in 2010 the economy would have the best year of the Lula administration for job generation and economic growth. This follows the news that in 2009, the worst year of the global economic crisis, Brazil created 1.4 million new jobs. Carlos Lupi said that the figures showed that Brazil has shrugged off the worst effects of the crisis, which could be attributed to its large domestic consumer market. He also said the industrial sector, which was especially hard hit by the crisis, would undergo a steady recovery this year.

* Prospects For EU Economies Not Good
International traders should consider broadening their trading activities outside Europe after the first official admission that economic prospects for the region continue to be poor. The European Union's first full time president Herman Van Rompuy warned recently that the long term economic outlook for the 27 countries of the EU is not positive, as the financial crisis continues to depress investment. "The long term outlook is not bright" Van Rompuy admitted at a recent Christian Social Union party conference in Germany. Van Rompuy said the current financial and economic crisis could also have a negative impact on longer term growth prospects, especially due to a permanent reduction in investment and rising unemployment throughout Europe. He explained: "The worsened financial conditions and higher risk aversion may indeed depress investment on a permanent basis. Should the current rise in unemployment become in part structural, that would have a lasting impact on the quantity and quality of labour." He added that the EU needs to achieve an annual growth rate of at least 2% to keep up with the rest of the world, not the sub-1% rate as currently being predicted by the OECD.
* Getting Started Trading Aerosols
Aerosols are a major consumer product, with millions sold every day. Here's a useful UK contact if you'd like to get started in this industry. The British Aerosol Manufacturers' Association or BAMA is a trade association that represents the interests of all sections of the aerosol industry, from the suppliers of components and chemicals to fillers and marketers of aerosol products. BAMA has around 75 member companies ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations. Website:

* Country Profile - Algeria
Algeria, officially the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, is the largest country on the Mediterranean Sea, the second largest on the African continent and the Arab world after Sudan, as well as the eleventh-largest country in the world in terms of land area. Its size is almost 2,400,000 kmę with an estimated population of around 35,000,000. The capital of Algeria is Algiers. Oil and gas form the bulk of Algeria's exports, accounting for roughly 60% of budget revenues, 30% of GDP, and over 95% of total export earnings. However, the agricultural sector exports wheat, barley, oats, vegetables, fruit (especially citrus fruits), figs, dates and cork. Within Europe, there are particularly strong trading links with France.
* Trading With Muslim Countries
Muslim countries account for a very substantial part of the world's trading community. But, within that, they are often very different countries with unique import and export requirements that are quite separate from their Muslim status. Muslim Trade is a very useful website which gives useful information about all the main Muslim countries - including details of the main exports and imports and trading rules and regulations. It covers the following countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Brunei, Cameroon, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Gabon, Gambia, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Maldives, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, and Yemen. * Import-Export Help From Your Chamber Of CommerceWhether your business is big or small it's well worth looking at what import-export help might be available from chambers of commerce in the UK. Some chambers of commerce have import-export promotion officers who can offer advice and information. Some have links with chambers of commerce abroad who can help you find new suppliers or new buyers. Even if your local chamber doesn't offer specialised import-export help it can be a good way to network with other local businesses - who could also be a source of supply, or who could be customers for your import agency. Often membership of a chamber of commerce doesn't cost a lot and you can cover the membership fee many times from the deals you could make. Although they don't necessarily all offer import-export help, this site can help you find your nearest chamber of commerce:
www.britishchambers.org.uk. There's lot of other useful info. for businesses on the site too.
* More Useful LinksThat's all for this month. Look out for March's bulletin when I'll have some more leads that can make you money. Meanwhile, if you need more help or information on the products Wade World Trade has for you, including our seminars and courses, our website is open 24/7 - find us at
